We hope you're happy with your recent pest control service from Crosstown Pest Control! We wanted to take a moment to give you a heads-up on what you might see in the coming days and weeks, so you know what's normal and how our service works.
It's completely understandable to want those pesky pests gone immediately after we treat your home. However, pest control isn't like flipping a switch. Think of it more like a process. Here's what you might observe:
- Seeing Dead or Dying Bugs: This is a good sign! It means our treatment is working. You'll likely see some dead or dying bugs for a few days after the service. This is perfectly normal as the treatment takes effect. Resist the urge to clean them up immediately – let the treatment do its job!
- A Few Live Bugs: You might also see a few live bugs for a short period. These are likely the ones that weren't directly exposed to the treatment or new bugs hatching. Our treatment creates a barrier, and as these new bugs cross it, they'll meet their demise. This process takes time.
- Outdoor Pests: We often get calls about pests in the yard or on the sides of homes. It's important to remember that our primary focus is treating the inside of your home and the immediate perimeter. While we do treat some common outdoor pests, the yard is a dynamic environment, and new bugs will naturally wander in. Think of it like this: your yard is a restaurant for bugs, and while we can significantly reduce the population, we can't completely close the doors!
- Spider Webs: Ah, spider webs! These are a common concern. Spiders create webs to catch their food, and even after treatment, new spiders may spin new webs. The best way to deal with webs is the old-fashioned method: a good broom! Knocking them down is the most effective solution. While we can treat areas where webs are prevalent, new webs can appear. More frequent spraying isn't always the answer and can sometimes be harmful to the environment.
We understand it can be tempting to call us if you see a bug or a web, but we hope this email helps explain the natural process of pest control. We're confident that our treatment is working to protect your home.
If you're still seeing significant pest activity after a week, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out! We're always happy to help.
Thanks for choosing Crosstown Pest Control!
Sincerely,
The Crosstown Pest Control Team
